Hey Guys!! Just checking in!!!

Hope you are all are ok and its great that your all following our journey!!!

Ok.. so after we left the last blog we climbed the sky tower (which is that tall thing in the picture!!) we were able to see the whole of auckland and also see just how far we had walked the day before!!!

The Following day (sunday) we started the Kiwi experience at 8.30am. First we headed to Mt Eden which is the view in the picture. This was also a way of seeing the whole of Auckland... but from a different view!! We then headed down to a town called Thames for lunch and then made our way to Cathedral Cove. Which was a beautiful secluded beach!! The only down side to it was a MASSIVE hike to get there.. although it was SOOOOOO worth it!! After a long tiring day we headed to our hostel called Turtle Cove. which was a lovely little family run hostel with really friendly people and comfy beds!!!

Today we left at 7.30am to head to Rotorua. On the way we stopped at a caving gold mine which was pretty cool. We then stopped at Matamata.. which is where Lord of The Rings is filmed!! We have now just arrived at our Base Hostel in Rotorua. Rotorua is a really nice place known for it Hot Rocks. Basically meaning there is loads of steam coming from the ground in random places because ground is not as deep... meaning we are closer to the earth's core!!! Bit of education for ya!!!! (Geo Thermal Heat)
So tonight we are going on a Maori experience!! meeting the Aborigine people and living like them for a few hours which is pretty exciting.

Tomorrow we are heading to Waitomo!! Craigs really excited as we are doing this 5 hour absailing, caving, tubing and rafting thing!! bit scared myself but hey... il try anything once!!
