After a short trip on a VIP bus (possibly the best way to travel anywhere!) we arrived up in Cameron Highlands! Getting of the bus and not having that oppressive heat of KL hit you made the place a favourite already however it had a lot more to offer than a break from the humidity! We took the opportunity to do a tea plantation and Mossy Forest guideed tour! We were driven up into the hills where the Bo tea plantation was located, as you can see from the photos it is a really beautiful area! We then learnt how they pick and process tea leaves in order to make the tea that ends up in your pot. Then it was off for the mossy forest walk, although at parts it was more like a hike. The guides were excellent explaining the local fauna uses and functions. We saw some carnevourous plants that eat insects and were shown plants that provide natural insect repellant, ones that can be eaten and others that can be used to heal wounds! This place was one of the highlights of Se Asia for me a good combination of beauty, a local feel and interesting things to do!
