We awoke to the rain, the constant dripping from overflowed gutters making the weather sound worse than it actually was. As soon as we hit the road, however, the deluge began. Our original intention was to drive to Cocoa Beach from Kissimmee in time to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy a day lounging on the sand, but with the weather conditions, we were doubtful.
