Morning infinity pool swim. Dinghy to motu & walk beach past Pt. Faroone to Pt. Tupitipiti for drift snorkeling near reef. Yellow & black & white stripped reef fish, bright blue "aquarium fish", schools of white fish & Flounders so much the color of the bottom that you could not see them until they moved. Kim saw a Reef Shark, Will a Mahi Mahi. On one of the giant corals were blue lipped oysters, this is the type of oyster they use to make a black pearl . Crazy how they opened and closed when a fish nibbled near by. A pair of Manta Rays flying beside us to make it a true Jacque Cousteau adventure!!!
Major screw up of day - left underwater camera on boat and Kim using the windless to pull up anchor and entangling the cord in the chain winch, Yikes!
Back to Banana Man. Motor North thru labyrinth of coral heads, reefs, & shoals around Island to Bora Yacht Club.
(Brilliant recovery by Kim for misshap with windless. Received compliments on her mooring techniques from Australian, circumnavigating globe).
A walk into town (Sunday - everything closed). Drinks (superior gin/tonic & daiquiri - must get formula) at yacht club.
Tonight's sunset was by far the most stunning we have experienced. AMazing! Pictures are on Will's camera will update on our return.
The yacht club could not give us a seat for dinner, so we elected for take out to the yacht. I had fresh Mahi Mahi over saffron rice and Will had duck. Topped off with creme Brûlée. Nice bottle of wine, cool breeze sitting on the boat with my favorite captain. Not bad:)
