Try this: Awaken to a cool breeze & spectacular sunrise on a brilliant turquoise lagoon, enclosed by palm fringed motus, & coral reef; a lush, verdant island with a 2000 foot volcanic peak in it's center, & the sound of reef surf break in the distance.
Coffee, pancakes & bacon on the boat. A swim in the lagoon - water too clear & perfect in temperature to leave, so that's where you start planning your day.
Dinghy over to the Sofitel resort for lunch and bike rental. Enjoyed. a ride around the island, stopped for a visit with Albert and Yolande at their blue house on the beach and then ended our day back at Sofitel for a twilight Planters punch. Big mistake!!! It got too dark and we were having a bit of dinghy engine trouble.
After consulting with Jan (Sweden ) and his instruction of "vroom, vroom, pump, pump " we were over confident that our tiny vessel would get us safely across the lagoon, in the dark, over coral heads, back to our sailboat. Wrong! We were too shallow and had to paddle out of the reef. But alas, our angel Jan saw our tiny blinking light, scooped us up on his tourist boat and delivered us to Banana Man. Whew!! Celebratory beer and off to bed.

Jerry Awesome descriptions. Quite novel "ish"
Nancy Hart Are you with other boats?? Sounds like you need some friends to come rescue you if you need it. I am too chicken to sail with just John and I!! Too many things seem to happen when we have been out in the deep blue sea!
Chadwell You should be a travel writer! And STAY on shore next time!
Anne Wow that sounds vaguely familiar! And absolutely amazing - enjoy!!!
