Welocme to the last blog!!! All the way from West Yorkshire! Yes we are now back home and finding it very cold! Brrrrr!
Not really a lot to report since we last wrote. We left Koh Samet and spent our last 2 days in Thailand in Bangkok. Been to that city a lot on this trip, we know it inside out now! Went on a shopping trip on Saturday to spend up and got lots of great clothes, "cheap, cheap". As it was our last full day in the sunshine we made sure we had time to spend in the swimming pool at the hotel too. That evening we went and pampered ourselves! Phil had a traditional Thai massage, where they give your body a good pummel and stretch. Quite a hard massage and not for me so I had a french manicure instead. Both had a yummy Thai curry for our last meal out then went and had a foot massage each! It's so cheap there! A relaxing end to our busy trip!
Had to fly via Singapore to come home and whilst there we had the chance to meet up with the lovely German couple who we'd spent New Years Eve with (they live in Singapore at the moment). We could've stayed there a few days but after already extending our trip we didn't think we could tell our parents again we wouldn't be coming home at the time they thought we'd be! We still got to go out of the airport for a few drinks down by the harbour with our friends though which was great. Made the most of our last warm evening!
Made it back in time for our last flight to Manchester, boo! I did cry a little before we boarded, couldn't believe we were on our way home already! The flight was long (14.5 hours) and boring. It was overnight but we didn't sleep a lot - Phil was up most of the night drinking beer and we both watched lots of films. We'd previously checked the weather to see what we'd be greeted with and weren't surprised to see it raining! Still, when we landed it was still a shock to be back in the winter time here.
It has been wonderful seeing our parents. We came back to my mum and dad's where we had a lovely roast dinner and champagne to celebrate our homecoming and engagement! Today Phil and I went shopping and have bought my engagement ring, it's so beautiful. Other than that it is not nice being back in England. We have the travel fever in our blood and want to be away again!
We hope you have all enjoyed travelling the world with us via this blog, as much as we have enjoyed telling you about our experiences. Travelling is one of the best things we have ever done (2 RTW trips now) and we would recommend it to anyone, a 2 week holiday is just not long enough! Time to settle down and get a j** now..........!
Looking forward to catching up with everyone at some point soon.
Lots of love
Us 2 X
