Sydney - Port Stevens
Today was the first day of my tour. We checked out of our room and then went down to meet everybody and have breakfast. We got all our stuff on the bus and got going. Our tour guide is Sara and driver is Gavin.
We stopped at a view point for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. I took some photos and we got a big professional photo of us all in front of it. We then drove north to Port Stevens where we had a chance to look around and some of us went on a dolphin cruise.
The dolphin cruise was fun and we actually saw quite a few pods of dolphins which was great fun. It was really cool when the dolphins caught the wave of the boat and followed us up through the sea.
We then met up with everybody and went to our hotel which wasn't far away in a different section of Port Stevens called Shoal Bay. We stayed in the Shoal Bay Resort which was very, very nice. I was sharing with 3 girls who are all very pleasant; they're all teachers from Liverpool.
Later we went for a swim in their indoor pool and spa and got ready for dinner. Dinner was very strange, we had to cook or own meet on a BBQ, I had chicken, and I took a long time cooking the meat, especially because I didn't want to get food poisoning.
We went to the local bar across the road for drinks after. We were there for quite a long time and met a couple of Aussies who were fun to talk to. Although as with most locals they all knew each other.
Our room was the last to leave in the morning and we actually got chucked out.
