Emma:
Hello then!
It's been rather fast paced in the last week... we've been to Siem Reap for a few nights, stayed at a place called Golden Banana where we had our first pool- great to come back to after walking round the temples most of the day! Angkor Wat was fantabulous but our favourite was the Tao Prohm - the one from Tomb Raider. My favourite for the trees growing out of it and Kieran's probably because it brought back happy memories of a scantily clad Angelina!!
We hired a guide for the 2 days, cos we is well posh, and he was great, even made us laugh by saying GORGEOUS in an American accent whenever he took a nice photo (and when we showed him a picture of Kara!) And coffee with a perfect NYC twang!! He's never left Cambodia!
Perhaps the most memorable event was dragging me out of bed at the ungodly hour of 4am to see the sunrise. I nearly fell asleep brushing my teeth! Luckily I didn't maul anyone but I was definitely twitching with "Angkor"! I love getting up early!
Anyway it was worth it in the end and Kieran went for a balloon ride over the temples.
We flew to Ho Chi Minh next, 2 days of honk honk HONK (that's traffic), skinny dogs, skinny children and smells I've never experienced before. Ever. Anyway, we went to see the Cu Chi tunnels, very very small, we even crawled through them for a whole 40 metres! It was horrific, pitch black and centipedes ahoy!!! I thought it was bad, no idea how bad it must have been for big K! Came out sweating like a sausage in the sun! No idea how people lived down there! We then went to the war museum. Very interesting but hugely one sided as you would expect. Also very harrowing to see the effect Agent Orange has had and is still having on generations of Vietnamese children.
From there we headed to Mui Ne, where we are now. It's a charmer of a beach resort- finally a beach!!! It's almost deserted because it's midweek, and last night we watched England on a big screen on the beach (Kieran was out of his tree!) Yesterday we went to the red sand dunes and the white sand dunes which Kieran sledged down! He had a lot of fun.
So today we just relaxed and swam and I had some lessons in maths from Kieran, seems like i've a lot to learn.... A monkey in a cage also took a particular dislike to me today, looked like it wanted to eat my head off! Kieran said it was my nose.
Kieran would like to add that shooting big guns in Saigon was brilliant (particularly the M-16), and no animals were harmed in the process (only coconuts)!
His hair is massive. And I mean huge, it's out of control, he needs it cut badly, he's wondering how much it would cost to fly Lindsey out. I think a 5 quid cut would suffice, but I doubt he'll go for that, watch this space.

Lucy P Sausage in the sun, love it!! Whilst on the subject of smells you've never experienced before....try the long-drop in Glasto after a full day of poo in 30 degree heat!! I actually gagged!
Tony My, my, you two have been busy with all the exotic goings on. It's been very exotic here too, with Summer balls and the like. Keep posting.
Kara I'm guessing it wasnt a pregnant photo if he said that ha ha!! Extremely jealous of the balloon ride, that sunset looks as though it was amazing, and the sand dunes too. Yes Kieran, go for the chop in KS, it'll soon grow back!
