So however long later on the rather cushty yet oh so economy air-plane with Etihad we have arrived in Abu Dhabi. After touching down about 20 minutes ago I have the pleasure of a nice 2 hour sit down before having another bout of air travel. I will say that this airport is lovely and I'm not too sure what the massive decoration is in the centre (in picture) but, whatever it is - it's nice. Shame the same can't be said for the toilets well I'm sure that's something you don't need to know and I hardly feel like going into detail with the porcelain-hole-in-the-floor-toilet-cross-shower-thing that I have just encountered.
It's weird thinking that all this traveling (feels like an age) isn't even half way to Beijing let alone Lanzhou and I won't ever forget that refreshing wall of warm air that hits you as you step of into the heat of the UAE. I suppose this really makes you realise that it's not England probably due to the signs being in Arabic before English and the way the woman in 'Starbucks' asked me 'What currency I was paying in' I'm sure I only gave her £5 but I got 10 back? Anyway this wait is hardly eased by my excitement to get onto the next plane and sample the small wonders of aeroplane food and cramped seating. Perhaps this time I can catch the last 3 minutes of the 'Lorax' that I was so rudely interrupted by the landing of the plane. I mean; they could have waited….
