Journey to Northern Territory

Friday 19th - Ayers Rock @ 0930 Hrs Kevin to see the doctor at the flying doctors Medical Centre were has being bitten head to toe by bed bugs and was given some steroids to calm down the scratching and pain. Billed $120 AUD and given letter from doctor stating the fact Kevin was bitten Bed Bugs and not Moziqutos or sand flies also said that the van needs to be fumigated.

Phoned Apollo Hirer Company for nearest branch is back in Alice Springs, found the place as we had no signal on our phones until 18Km outside Alice's. The man at depot said that was us how put bed bugs on the van also said that were tropic bug (what from England, what an idiots man must think we are).

Richard want bonks but no swearing finally got a Ford campervan which was must smaller than last one. We have now driven back over 450Km's back to start our journey to Adelaide so we have lost two days now. See how the ford goes compare to VW, Ever so tired and in pain, so Richard goes to bed at 1930hrs.

Journey to South Australia

Saturday 20th - Boy had joy they went back to Alice's to have a drink of beer got stopped as there needed photo I.D to get beer or wine which they did not have any on them. We found out that the van was only and 5 berth not 6 much smaller hardly any packing space in side. All three of us are very angry and wanted to straight out with the Apollo man, could not get throw to in Brisbane Head office on Saturday morning. Only thing can do is carry on and see if we can get throw on Monday.

Its getting hotter as the days go pass by, Richard pain is not giving up still have to take 6 painkillers a day. Travelling about 520 to 580 Km today trying catch up the time we have lost. Thing we must do and keep now at Cadney Homestead (Roadhouse)
