Wednesday 8th

Got up about 8am the first lay for over a month now went out about 10am to martin place to change some traveller cheques and deposited 90% in my bank a/c so can pay off ANZ credit card and book a flight to gold coast at flight centre.

Total cost of return flight $414 AUD (£180) and next task to found hostel for 5 nights from 9th to 14th October. Found one place coolangatta stay place called Sands hostel which has two bars and restaurant and pokies room for only $28 AUD per night.

Move from dorm room in the private twin room until Thursday only trouble when go back pink house stay in dorm room let hope not 10 beds dorm. Manager to do my washing only problem everyone else was doing there so wash my clothes but had waited to Thursday to dry them.

Thursday 9th

Got up about 7am had a shower and packed all my clothes after finished dry them and all other item all by 9.30am only thing to now is watch TV and wait about noon tocatch airport shuttle bus. Arrive on the gold coast about 3pm QLD time no daylight savings and had to wait about 1hour before got my luggage's and called the hostel for the bus but had catch taxi and get refund when I check in.

Only thing about coolangatta was rain decide to book some tours first is Australia Zoo were late Steve Irwin's made famous by has way explained all about crocodile and other Australia wildlife and other to rain forest. Had sweet and sour chicken for dinner in same place as internet kiosk if order a meal internet was free from the first 30 mins was handy because had print out tour vouchers.

That other person in dorm called Pete from Melbourne was in town to meet his friend next day for soccer match for over 25's invited down stair for a drink at the bar. We chat about all different thing and couple games of double's on the pool table with two Germany guys, I have not play pool for years but, I manager win by hit 8 ball in the pocket to win both games what good way to finish the day with.
