Hello

In Phuket now. Still very hot!! Travelled from Bangkok yesterday. We took the easy option and got the 1 hour flight instead of the 14 hour bus ride! Think it was only about 20 quid extra!

Finally got to Kata beach in Phuket, minibus taxi man took us on a bit of a detour to a travel agents. Once they realised we were poor travellers they gave up trying to sell us anything!! Just had to wait for the other suckers who brought trips off them for ten times the price and then we were on our way!

Gez only just about managed to cross the road with her rucksack before we had to stop and get some food and a drink!! Kev braved the sweltering heat to find us somewhere to live while Gez stayed in the shade with a nice cold coke!..looking after the bags though!!

Found some nice bungalows to stay in, really cute, air con and to Gez's delight...hot water!! Only problem is it's up a massive hill!! Kev punished Gez by making her carry her bag up the massive hill on her own!!

Managed to get down to Karon beach and had a rest before it poured down!! Ran to the nearest resturant and stayed until it had stopped!!

We spent the day on Kata beach today, but don't worry Mum's we rented an umbrella to lie under! Was really nice to get in the sea, Gez was a bit of a wuss about swimming with the fish!! They were massive!

Gonna head to Hat Nai Han beach tomorrow and find another place to stay, don't think it's too far away from here.
