Hi everyone

We've been so slack at updating our blog recently! Gonna try and give you a brief update on what we've been up to in Australia.

Sydney 2: Went to the Blue Mountains which was really nice. Luckily we chose a really nice day, and although it was pretty cold up there it was really clear so got to see all the sites. Walked around LOTS! Saved money on the buses though!

Next day we went to Summer Bay! After thinking the Surf Club was an old toilet block we were really chuffed to find the actual surf club with Alf Stuarts name on it! The beach is really nice, and funnily enough looks just like on the tele! Didn't see anyone filming though, apparently we went on the wrong day!

Treated ourselves to a night out at the i max cinema to see Spider Man 2, was quite expensive for the cinema but the screen was amazing! It was so huge, all you could see was the film, felt like you were in it!

Meet up with Kendra and her new housemates (Gez's friend from uni) was really nice to see a friendly face, and to get some tips on the rest of Oz from a pro!

Port Macquirie: This was our first stop on the bus. A little town but really cute. Went to the Koala hospital to see our first Koalas! Although they were all poorly so weren't really doing much, not that they normally do anyway! Spent the rest of the time on the beaches which were really nice.

Byron Bay: We both really love Byron Bay. It's such a nice little town and with a great beach. Kev tried surfing again, which he says was much harder than in Bali, so not sure he managed to stand up! But to be fair it was quite rough!! Gez gave it a go as well, but she couldn't actually lift herself up on the board on dry land so there wasn't much hope! We both loved body boarding though, not really sure you need alot of skill for that!

Went on a long walk around the national park which took us to loads of nice beaches and lookouts. Was absoloutely boiling hot! As it was a Saturday night we had a night out with the locals! Had dinner at one of the local pubs and then watched some random band, Extended Family! kev made friends with the lead singer, well got his pic anyway! It was definitely the place where the whole of Byron Bay goes! Headed to find some backpackers after at Cheeky Monkeys. A really cheesy but good little club! Think anyone whos been to Byron Bay lives in this place!

Surfers Paradise: We were a bit gutted when we got here as we wanted to go back to Byron Bay! Surfers is a nice city but nothing really there that we wanted to do! We really wished we hadn't left Byron! Spent some time on the beach, which is really nice apart from all the massive buildings just behind it! When it was a miserable rainy day we decided to give up on the place and headed to Brisbane!

Brisbane: A much nicer place! explored the city and went to the Southbank where they have a pretty cool little fake beach! We treated ourselves to our first Chinese which was lush! There's loads of BYO restaurants in Oz which helps!

Went to the Lone Pine Koala sanctuary where there were hundreds of Koalas! Fed the kangaroos and Gez got to cuddle a Koala!

Noosa: We both really loved Noosa as well (pretty similar to Byron Bay!) We done another walk around the National Parks to the lush beaches. Saw our first wild Koala! Had quite a few nights out at the Hostel bar, the bar was the most popular place with the locals as well so was always packed. Had some good nights out and meet lots of cool people.

Had our first rainy day in Oz so spent the day booking all our trips. Went to the Australian Zoo the nest day when it had luckily stopped pouring! Saw loads of Crocadiles! The croc shows were really good and got to feed a few elephants!

Fraser Island: Had a brilliant time on Fraser. We left from Rainbow Beach where we met up with our group who were all really nice. We packed up our 4wd and headed off onto the Island. We first headed to the top of the island, Indian Head where we had lunch and saw some dolphins.
