That's what my first client said to me this afternoon. After I'd dropped him there and returned to the Athletes' Village I asked someone what it meant. Glaswegian for a fight or sometimes a big crowd [but she made a point of saying it's usually a fight]. Fortunately, no fighting in George Square - in the centre of Glasgow - today but a big happy crowd.
Just in case you've missed it, it's the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games tonight!!! Forget everything I've said so far. None of that really counts because that was just the run-up to the Games. Today, the sun was out, the sky was blue, there were loads of people [lots of stramashes in fact], there were loads of smiles and everyone was happy. What more do you need? That'll do me - it's looking good. At the Athletes' Village for most of the day which was my busiest yet. I've had people from the Falkland Islands, the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas and Australia in my car. Plus just as many Scottish and English people.
By the way, sorry for the lack of photos so far. There's a few on the way. The ones in dismal weather were at Glasgow Airport a few days ago. And the sunny ones were today. Late start and working until 2am for the next couple of days. Going to try and do this both days but not sure when. Hope you're all sunny and smiling as well and ready for the Opening Ceremony tonight. Believe me, it's going to be AWESOME. I'll be in front of the telly with ice-cream and popcorn [thanks Gail]
Take care
PS No photos of me in a kilt yet Ray but I'm working on it
