A very long and amazing day filled with Russian experiences! We started our day by visiting metro stations, which were very beautiful. Upon disembarking from the train, the hallways are filled with ornate sculptures and tiled inlay artwork. For me the highlight of the day was visiting the Kremlin and the Russian Orthodox churches. Absolutely amazing frescoes, paintings and gold work!
And the revelation of the day? I am my father's daughter. I hear people speaking another language and I start speaking Spanish....mind you, I don't speak Spanish, making the attempt very feeble. I have no idea why I think "gracias" is better than "thank you" but the words just come out. I may have a Russian accent too!
Sorry I don't have more pictures. I promise I'm taking them!

Anne That is hilarious! 'Gracias' sounds more sincere. Hey, Russian Smussian, we have 2 round churches in the hood. Glad you're having fun!
Christine Well you may sound more foreign saying "gracias"...and not American! Can't wait to see pics.
carol I tend to say 'Namaste' when nothing else comes to mind!
