Today was mainly a travelling day, we started off from Washington early in the morning heading North to Pennsylvania. We drove through some beautiful scenery, lots of countryside, rivers and lakes. We saw a deer run across the road ahead of us and several of the trees have started changing colours so hopefully by the end of the trip we'll get a good impression of all the colours of Fall in New England.
We eventually reached our campsite for the night in Allegheny State Park. This was a very basic site, no hot water and drop toilets in the bathrooms. The area was stunning though and we were able to follow a trail all through the woods and around a lake. I went for a paddle in the lake and the water was lovely, really clear.
Was pretty cold in the evening as we were further north and we were so far from any cities, lovely clear night though and there were so many stars to look at whilst we sat around the campfire keeping warm.

Heather Don't fancy the bus ride - but the Park sounds wonderful!
