Melbourne to Abu Dhabi diamond first class suite Sunday 3rd march flight EY461
Wow just wow. The suite is better than imagined and the tv is nearly as big as mine at home. Upon boarding I was greeted with whatever I wanted and handed the all important amenities kit (PJs are comfy Nicole) which contains a Swarovski purse, toothbrush and toothpaste, socks and a sleep mask, la prairie skin products, sleep relax soothing roll on, mints, dental floss, a care kit, pjs with Swarovski on them and slippers.
Then came the embarrassing moment of my neck pillow exploding sending little white beads all over the cabin.
After take off the chef comes around and discusses the food and you order what you want when you want it. I ordered roasted butternut and apple soup for entree and for main grass fed beef tenderloin with roasted chat potatoes.
Whilst waiting for the meal I was served several smaller meals the first being salmon wrapped in a chives type of cheese with a mustard sauce. Then came a plate with 4 mini appetisers & a plate of bread. There was capsicum salsa, olives, avocado but I'm not sure of the fourth one. It wasn't very nice whatever it was. Then came a mango sorbet which was amazing. I couldn't fit any dessert off the menu in.
For breakfast I wasn't hungry so I just had some toast and a breakfast smoothie. The chef constantly came around to see if we wanted anything. Don't worry Nicole I took the menus.
The cabins themselves were amazing. I had 3 windows in my cabin and the ability to close my cabin door for privacy. I had about 50 different ways to turn on the lights and the entertainment system was pretty good. I got to see via a camera on the tv the plane depart and land through the Captains eyes. That part was pretty amazing.
Now I'm off to the first class lounge for some ala carte dining ...
