Barcelona the land of tapas & sangria. After arriving late evening to the hotel we had to put our luggage in a mini bus and walk up a giant hill to our hotel.
We had a buffet for dinner and by far the best included dinner we have had.
Some went to a bar In town but we stayed at the hotel bar and sat with driver Levi. He is the funniest person I have ever met & we had a great time.
Early morning departure for a city tour on the bus. We stopped at the old Olympic stadium and then at the top of the city which had amazing views. Then we went into town on a walking tour of the gothic quarter.
For the afternoon we had free time and chose to wander the streets and test out the tapas and sangria for lunch. The sangria was strong & the tapas pretty good. I had wedges with aioli & a Spanish omelette.
Then for the evening we were off to a Dinner & flamenco show. Dinner was salad, cold soup (horrid),chicken drumsticks & gas tasting creme brûlée. The shows as hysterical & very hard to concentrate when the men were wearing the most feminine clothes.
Then we all went to the bar where free shots were flowing. Hangovers for all on the bus journey to Nice tomorrow...
