I've set this up in order to keep everyone updated on my round the world trip. This is the best way I could think of in order to keep in touch with all the people I am going to miss, especially my family.

I'll update it every chance I get with entries and photos and hopefully I'll never feel that far away.

I'm setting off on January 4th 2009 and my itinerary is as follows:

• Beijing - overland - Singapore
• Singapore - Perth
• Perth - Melbourne
• Melbourne - Auckland
• Auckland - Fiji
• Fiji - Auckland
• Auckland - Sydney
• Sydney - Jo'burg
• Jo'burg - London

This is a trip I have always dreamt of and I thought I'd never be brave enough to do. I am the ultimate home bird and I'm so close to my family that at times I think it will hurt. God knows how I'll cope but with all of you with me I know it'll help. I'll be doing some amazing things, volunteering with animals and navigating the planet with my trusty backpack - I'm so glad you'll be able to share it with me.
