Not long been back from the trek & am aching like mad... didn't help yesterday the weather conditions were really bad & I fell twice managing to wind myself the 1st time ha ha. The trek was amazing we walked through so many little villages in the hills that u wouldn't even think excisted. The 1st night we stayed with a family from the Hoah binh tribe in this dark dingy hut & when I saw the toilet I wanted to cry... but was cool, 10 of us stayed in the same room on concrete with a fire in between the beds to keep us warm. 2nd night we stayed with a white thai family who's place was much nicer however still room for improvement with the loo!! Visited a kindergarden 2day which was so moving nearly started crying as the kids were all in dirty clothes & 1 didn't even have shoes but they were so happy without a care in the world.
