So have been here for 2 days now & what an experience it has been already.... firstly I'm sure someone had paid my transfer driver to kill me or at least scare me senseless with his driving, I think I had my eyes closed most of the way.... At one point he was reversing up the motorway whilst smiling at me!! Then he kindly dropped me off at an art gallery thinking it was my hotel & tried driving off & leaving me there. Last night things got even better as had to get my money, passport etc out of my safe to find I couldn't get into the safe... approx 3 hrs later after having 6 different vietnamese men in my room trying to force it open with all kings of gadgets they managed to open it with a coat hanger!!! was so funny just sitting there watching them all, the girls I was with couldn't understand how I found it so funny & wasn't crying. It is totally manic here I have never seen so many mopeds in my life, no one stops & there doesn't seem to be any rules on how to drive except straight at each other & hope for the best, when crossing the roads you just have to walk at them & again hope for the best u make it to the otherside!! Have met some of the peeps on the tour & I'll just say very different & not what I expected e.g a married couple in their 60's ha ha ha everyone else is quite young though & have 8 different nationalities amongst us. Have settled alot more here, been doing loads of sight seeing, Today we visited a prison, temple & zoo. I'm heading off to see some water puppet show tonight with another girl. Food here is abit hit & miss so far haven't been ill which is a bonus, saw half a cooked dog earlier with it's tail still intact NICE. Weather is freezing & been raining today, am going on a hilltribe trek tmoz for 3days so will update u upon my return xx
