This morning we got up to a beautiful sunny day with very mild temperature. As it is my birthday today, we went out for coffee and breakfast to a little cafe called Angies Cafe, really nice and cozy, serving great coffee and a good feed! After 'not' feeding the Dolphins this morning we travelled the 160km back out to the main Coastal Highway. On the way out we stopped at Eagle Bluff which was an 8km return drive on a corrugated road. As we got out of the car the wind almost blew us back in again, wow it was cyclonic, really! Last night it was absolutely blowing a gale, very high winds and rain, I had to get up during the night to roll up the awning as I was worried it was going to tear up during the storm! We left Carnarvon this morning and headed for Monkey Mia which is just under 400km south. I'm so amazed at how desolate Western Australia is between places. We only came across two roadhouses and no towns travelling from Carnarvon to Denham, that is about 30km from Monkey Mia! The 'coast' road is mostly nowhere near the coast!
