Hi everyone, now i know im getting into a bit of a habit of this but its been 2 weeks since i last wrote upy blog so it going to be long!!!! and you all be pleased to hear that its been cold here in alice over the last couple if days and raining quite a bit too!!!

well i'll start on the 24/10/07 as i didn't do much on the 23/10/07, just did washing and booked my bus ticket!! when i was leaving Darwin to catch the 7.15am bus to Katherine. i set my alarm for 5.40am which went off and woke me up as planned, but then i heard loads of comostion outside!! shouting and running about, so as i was getting up anyway i stuck my head out of the dorm room door, to see what was going on!! i could see some guys that looked like they were fighting and it turned out that the hostel was getting robbed!!!! this White Aussie guy had jumped the fence and was trying all the door to the rooms to see if any were open and quite a few were!!!! so this guy was going into the rooms while people were asleep and going through there stuff!!! lucky for me and my room i had got up to turn off the light when we were all in bed and then thought i best check the door to make sure its locked, so got up again and checked the door, it was unlocked!!! so i locked it and went back to bed. we were lucky as if i hadn't got up to check the door the guy would have been in our stuff!! the fight that was accuring was infact some of the lads at the hostel aprehending the guy nicking the stuff, so the police turned just before i left the hostel at about 6.45am, they took there time getting there!! but at leasted we got the guy!! after that it was quite boring!! i just got on my bus for 4 hours to get to Katherine. I arrive at 11.30am and got picked up and taken to my hostel it was so hot i have to say i didn't do anything that day i just read my book in my room!! i did meet a nice girl called kirsty and she made both of us some lunch as i didn't have anything to eat and she had extra which was really nice. later we both walked up to woolworths for food for dinner then i called Lottie as it was her 4th birthday. Woolworths over here is not like at home its a big supermarket over here!! and you can't buy alcohol in a supermarket but you can get it from a drive through bottle shop!!! how mad is that a drive through alcohol shop!!! talk about incorraging drink driving!!

On the 25/10/07 i got up early to catch boat trip through Katherine Gorge, the bus collected me at 8.30am and i went on a 2 hour boat trip down the first gorge, it was suppost to do the second gorge aswell but the water level was to low so we couldn't go. i got to see some rockart and after the trip i climb the many steps to the lookout point which was really nice, apart from the steps!!! but im getting used to it now!!! my bus didn't come to pick me up at 1.00pm like it should have so i had to wait till 2.40pm for a lift back into town, it was a bit s*** as i had such a bad headache, so when i got back i went to bed for a bit to sleep it off!! later i got up booked my ticket to Alice Springs and spoke to Joe on the phone he'd just got back fom bali and had lost some of his photos off his memory stick!!!! he wasn't happy!!

On the 26/10/07 i checked out at 10.00am but my buss didn't leave till 5.15pm so kirsty said i could stay in the room and i read and sleep for abit, had lunch the court the overnight bus to Alice. the bus was ok i managed to sleep abit but when i arrive in Alice i went to sleep for a bit.

well although i said this would be long ive run out of time as im getting picked up for the airport at 3.00pm and its 1.40pm now and i need my lunch before i head off so ill have to fill you in on my 5 day tour when i get to cairns.
