Sorry about the long delay in keeping up to date on our blogs, weve been busy!!!

So next stop was Magnetic Island (Maggie).

An early start to catch the bus from Cairns to Townsville (5 hours), then a hike from the bus stop to the ferry with our very heavy bags in the midday heat!

Maggie Island is tiny and very very quiet, with a bus that only comes every hour! It is beautiful though. That night we met a couple of girls from our hostel and had our very first Aussie BBQ, which almost got eaten by the possoms!!

The next day we spent chiiling out on the nearby beach (one of the only ones free from stingers) and did some washing. Ok, so we got a bit bored of waiting so decided to try and get into the tumble dryers-as you do!!!

Our last day on Maggie we headed to Horseshoe Bay to do some kayaking and watersports. Turned out we couldnt do kayaking as the sea was too rough, but we did end up going on the doughnuts (rubber rings pulled along behind a boat) with a random group of irish that we met. It was great fun, but so hard to hold on, we all ended up with very achey muscles and bruised bottoms!!

That night we went to feed the wallabies-so cute. A couple of them had little babies peeking out of their pouches!!
