It was a beautiful day arriving at Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge. My driver, Rual provided some information about Belize living on the 1.5 hour ride into the hills. The area around Belize City reminds me of Jamaica. As we drove further inland he said Chinese immigrants run many of the businesses. We got gas in Belmopan at Shanghai Station which was odd seeing Chinese lanterns hanging outside the door. Upon arrival, I walked around the grounds and then walked a road to the top of a hill to take this picture. This area is adjacent to the lodge. Picked a few oranges in the trees surrounding the grounds and then lined up my adventre for Sunday. I am the only solo traveler here, which did and didn't surprise me. Before dinner I cozied up to the bar and met a nice mother and daughter traveling from Canada. Joined them for dinner and then called it a day.
