We started the day with a great breakfast at the hotel. Ham & Egg biscuit, oatmeal, mixed fresh fruit, cereal, juice, and coffee (coffee was really bad).
We stopped in Idaho Falls to have lunch. We picked up some sandwiches from Walmart and had a picnic overlooking the Idaho Falls. It was a beautiful day. We even checked out the local farmers market. Idaho Falls is a really cute town.
We made it in to Park City at around 3:00 this afternoon. Park City is a ski resort town located approx. 20 miles east of Salt Lake City and quit a bit cooler being high up in the mountains. The 2002 Winter Olympics were held here, and the annual Sundance Film Festival is hosted here every Feb. Park City is similar to Whistler on the outskirts. The historic downtown area is awesome. Shops, deli's, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, and pubs line the Main Street of Park City. This is a highly recommended stop if you're in the area!!!
We checked in to the Best Western Landmark Inn which happens to be across the street from a large Factory Outlet Center. So shopping we went!!! Dot picked up a pair of sunglasses and a swim suit. I didn't get anything.
Dot was craving pizza, so we went to find a place downtown. We saw a really cool looking restaurant called Main Street Pizza & Noodle. I'm going to stress the "COOL LOOKING" part, cuz it wasn't very good. It wasn't awful, but it wasn't good either. If you put "pizza" in the title of your restaurant, it better be damn good. It should be epic!!! I didn't feel like trying the "noodle" part. The Dos Equis was really good though!!!
After supper we just walked up and down Main Street checking things out. There must be a lot of money in this town, cuz the cars were really nice. Our Main Street walk ended at Starbucks!! We headed back to the hotel and had another relaxing soak in the hot tub.
So I've let my Blackberry batter die and I haven't recharged it. I refuse!!! I haven't looked at it even once!! I've truly unplugged. I haven't even checked my email (outside of Facebook). Only 2 days in and I'm feeling completely chill.
Tomorrow we will be in Vegas. Not sure if the hotel has free Wi-Fi, so my updates may be limited. We'll see. We're here to enjoy our holiday, not spend it in front of a computer, right?!
Later!!!! :)
