Dublin, Ireland
We had a long day of travel yesterday. We started off in Fargo and I was at the airport at 8:30am and then we flew to Chicago, from Chicago we flew to Philadelphia, and from there we finally
made our way to Dublin. Even though we had 3 seats for 2 people I wasn't able to sleep at all on the plane.
We got to Dublin around 8 and then made our way to the line for customs. Waiting in line was the longest part of the process when we got up to the window all he asked me was how long we were staying and then stamped out passports he didn't even ask Levi anything which I thought was pretty funny. After customs we went to find our bags, and I was very thankful that both bags made it. Finally, we were on our way to find the PaddyWagon which would bring us to our hotel. Well we found out that it only comes on the even hours so we got to wait outside for about an hour and a half until 10am finally rolled around. After a very interesting drive with some students from Purdue we made it to our hotel a little after 11.
Once we got to our hotel Dr.wright met us and showed us where the closest ATM was and where we could get an Irish breakfast. We walked into a nice looking place and the food turned out to be cafeteria style so we just followed what everyone else did. Then we had to find somewhere to sit. Which the place was packed and we didn't know if it was acceptable to sit with someone else so we stood looking lost for a couple of minutes. Luckily an older British couple invited us to join them (they must've been able to tell how confused we were). We enjoyed our breakfast and a nice conversation with the couple. After breakfast we explored the city for awhile. Then the boys decided to go have a couple beers while we waited for the rest of the group to arrive and I stated back in the FREEZING hotel lobby to nap. We finally were able to check in at 3 pm and our group arrived shortly after.
We went to dinner as a group at O'Shea's. After dinner we were all pretty exhausted so most of us went back to the hotel. I fell asleep around 7:30pm and woke up 3 or 4 times through out the night and was up for good at 6:00am. It feels nice to finally be well rested again. Stephanie is still sleeping, lucky girl. We have a long day of tours ahead of us, I think we're all hoping that it's a little warmer here today.
