I met more new people this week, and spent time doing a cooking course which was great fun, learnt to make spring rolls, chicken in a coconut milk, papaya salad, Pad Thai, a green paste, green curry and sticky rice with mango.
ended up making so much food, that I ended up taking most of it back to the hostel and giving it to the staff to eat, but kept the Green Thai chicken curry for later.
Spent another day doing the James Bond tour, went to where the man with the golden gun was filmed, however was disappointed was a lot smaller than I imagined it to be, and it was full of tours. But was still nice to see it.
However the rest of the tour was brilliant.
Went canoeing where a guy was paddling and took us through mangroves and through caves, with the smallest entrances so had to lie down to get through, was great fun.
Spent time on a floating village, so strange to think that people live like this.
Went to a temple in a cave and got blessed by a monk, watched monkeys eating banana's. Then finished off at a waterfall which was cool, however was getting bitten by fishes which was annoying. But funny.
This week was Songkran, Thai new year. From the 13th till the 15th April.
The first day was brilliant, all the people form the hostel got together and filled up buckets with water and we just threw it at people passing by, on bikes, in cars, walking, was such a great day.
It felt like being a kid again, everyone joined in, so many Thai people getting us from cars, it was mental but such great fun.
By the end of the night everyone was shattered.
A busy week...such a hard life....:D
