Hello everyone! Well I have made it here safely. Rio is hot hot hot! It's very sweaty but also really cool, well, all that I have seen so far! I got to my hostel about 1am and then today we have just faffed around really, went to the supermarket, chilled out around the hostel, tried to go to a church but it was shut although the view was amazing and then went for a few beers in a really weird bar which will be the local it seems. It's the tiniest bar I have ever seen! Tomorrow I have my orientation which will be good as I really have no clue what's going on! Everyone here is lovely so that makes things much easier and I've been told that we can take part in Carnival in some hilarious costumes for 160 Reais which is about 50 quid and we get to keep the costumes. There's only one computer here which seems pretty ancient so I'm not sure if I'll be able to upload any pictures straight away but I shall do my best! Hope you're all ok, will let you know what work is like when I start! xx
