hey guys! sorry for being slow with the blog. We will just write about the Whitsunday trip which we did last Wednesday... Got the overnight bus from Hervey Bay to Airlie Beach with the guys who we did Fraser with because we didnt have time to get the Oz bus. Arrived in Airlie Beach and checked in at Magnums which was actually really nice despite bad reviews! (except for the fact that there was a dead mouse squashed in a mouse trap in the room - gross.) We had to go to a short talk about the trip and met some of the other people who were gona be on the boat. Then we had the rest of the day free to relax. There was a really nice public lagoon place which was beautiful so we chilled there for a bit instead of the beach before getting ready to go out in the evening. Was such a good night. We were all drinking outside in this little shack place before heading out to this bar and then club called Mama Africas which was cool. Everyone was slightly worse for wear in the morning ... which wasn't particularly good for katy's travel sickness hahaha! Luckily we had until 2 in the afternoon to sober up! There were about 20 of us on the boat - most of who we knew becuase of Fraser, then some random Irish girls and these 2 Germans, Mike and Janine who were really cool too. It is so hard to describe how amazing the trip was - you could sit with your legs over the side of the boat and look out to sea, or sunbathe, or jump in the sea (as long as you had these really unattractive stinger suits on because of the jellyfish!) the food was amazing too and the crew were really friendly and laid back. We saw a whale! was awesome! we just spotted it out to sea jumping... unreal! So we were sailing... drinking.. sunning ... then we stopped at this resort on long island for the night. it had a jacuzzi, pool, bar, etc! had quite a chilled evening.. saw the sunset actually which was gorgeous! There was live music and games on in the evening which kept us entertained! then early start the next day for the boat because it was our diving day. We sailed for quite a while ...luckily katy brought the uno cards haha! then we got to where we were diving and were taken out in groups of 4. seriously - we had like a 10 mins induction and then straight in! was the weirdest feeling ever ... unfortunately katy freaked out and thought she couldnt breathe so had to chicken out! so did the other girl in our group so it was just me and stephen and the instructor. once you get over the breathing thing though it is the best thing ever! i cant WAIT to ddo it again! we saw so many fish and fed them with bread omg seriously it was amazing! We were able to do some snorkling whilst waiting for other groups which was cool. Then we moved on up to Whitehaven beach. out of this world! the sand! so white! omg i cant even describe - you will have to check out the photos which we will get round to putting up! Got to chill there for about 2 hours or so ... then had to head back for our second night on the island. Pretty much the same kind of evening ... there were loads of wallabies around actually which was so cool! the last day sailing was really relaxed... we saw turtles too! Arrived back in Airlie beach at around 1ish i think! Everyone was on such a high from the trip so the last night out was awesome as you can imagine! Was sad to leave, but we moved up again on the oz bus with ric, joel and stephen again to Magnetic Island.... and I'm gona stop here because seems like I'v been writing for ages so katy can take over! miss you allxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
