Hello everyone! Im just testing out if this blog-website thingie works properly, so let me know if there are any problems!
We set out on the 24th October and have been in Rio de Janeiro for a week, and so far everything is going well. There were a few hiccups in the first couple of days - sarah was ill and we had banking problems but thats all ironed out now. Rio is fantastic, it's such an amazing place to put a city. There are mountains, forests, beaches and a lake with the city built around it. Ill put up photos soon! I went handgliding which was amazing, went to a football match at the largest stadium in south america and went to the lapa street partys. The hostel we stayed at was great and we met a great group of people to sightsee with. Unfotunatly the weather has been a bit dodgy and so we didnt get to spend as much time as we would have liked on copacabana beach. All in all a very cool place and not as intimidating as it has been portrayed.
Yesterday we said goodbye to the atlantic and took a 22 hour bus journey from rio to Foz de Iguazu, on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. It was long but OK, now weve crossed the border to peurto iguazu and are staying in the most luxurious hostel ever. they even have a swimming pool! Just recouperating today and then off to see the waterfalls tommorow. Then we'll be heading straight on to northern argentina, probably salta via another coach journey.
Catch up soon and hope you are all well!
