Warner Bros Studio. The pilgrimage made by so many super geeks before us. Nat quickly dashed off to grab us a welcome gift. HOUSE SCARVES! Of course we had to be sorted into our houses before we even think of entering the wizarding world. So I found a cup. A plastic cup. Which shall hence forth be known as the 'Sorting Cup'. Natalie - Griffindor. Of course. Katrina S - Ravenclaw. Charmaine - Slytherin. And myself - The most honorable and favourite house of J.K herself, Hufflepuff.
So much to see and for what seems so little time! 9am. First tour time. Holy moley it was huge! I expected it to be massive but this was next level! It was also the start of the "Dark Arts" week. Special Halloween themed extra tid bits throughout the day.
Walking into the Great Hall to begin our day was pretty spectacular. Then through one of the sound stages the was full to the brim with props, sets, costumes and best of all the makeup and wigs! They had soooo much on display! From initial concept art to wigs to prosthetics. HARRYS SCAR!! We saw the actual scar but also the plastic forehead they made as a guide to make sure they get it in exactly the same spot every time.
The sculpture department exhibit was one of my favorites as well. They pretty much sculpted everything. It was overwhelming to see all the craftsmanship and man hours that went into creating the spectacular world that is Harry Potter.
Warner Brothers and J.K Rowling has for me, succeeded in making the magical world real and the real world magical.
