Hello!

So far so good in China. After Xi'an and the Terracotta warriors we took a 13 hour train journey to Chengdu. This I can say was quite an experience, but we got to see some beautiful scenery on the trip.

In Chengdu we visited the Panda reserve, YAY!! The Panda's I can say were just as cute as I expected, very laid back creates. And when I say laid back I mean laid back, litterally many of them were laying on their backs just munching on bamboo. The 6 month old cubs were extremely cute, they were being rounded up at the time to be fed their bottles, they lay much like a human baby with their bottles in hand :-)

In Chengdu we had a taste of the night life, which introduces very cheesey music, Shania Twain and Backstreet Boys!! Live performances. I made some new friends that could speak as much English as I can Mandarin, but still they taught me a new drinking game involving dice... very fun.

Today we visited the Giant Buddha in Leshan, it was a beautiful site. Although the walk down the cliff was very slow indeed, due to the volume of people. We have now arrived at a monastery next to the Emei Mountain... which we will be going up tomorrow. We have been given monkey sticks which does slightly worry me :-) The area we are in at the moment is also extremely beautiful and imagine the sites tomorrow will be equally if not more beautiful.
