Welcome to our last blog from Australia! We cant believe 12 weeks in Australia has come to an end and tomorrow we are flying to New Zealand. Since our last blog we have continued working our way down the coast, we stopped at Byron Bay for a few nights which was really lovely, chilled out on the beach and walked over to the most easterly point of Australia. We stayed in super modern hostel which even had a cheese and wine evening- very civilised for us backpackers! Port Macquarie was our next stop where we went to a koala hospital but we had a bit of Brighton november weather as it didn't stop raining so spent more time on the sofa watching films then anything else. After travelling thousands of kilometers around the country and spending hours on the bus it was time for our last journey and to arrive in Sydney over the harbour bridge was great. We spent a couple of days on Bondi beach, soaking up the sun and the beautiful bodies which are posing everywhere! We had both been really looking forward to Graham's Mum and Dad arriving in Sydney and it was brilliant to all be together and a massive treat for us to be leaving our hostel (yipee!) and walking into a super luxury apartment over looking the city. The last five days have been brilliant, we've seen all the famous sights, been treated to meals out, seen more sights, eaten more meals, and that was just day one! The Opera House and Harbour bridge are amazing to see in real life - could look at that view forever - probably will be with the amount of photos we've taken! We spent a day at the Blue Mountains, went over to Manly, had lots of laughs and have stopped for just the odd coffee break! Sounds like all Graham and I can think about is the food we've had but after living on pasta and packed lunches we really have been spoilt rotten. (massive thank you Carol & Andrew.x) Its been a brilliant end to our time in Australia, we will miss the company and it will be a shock to the system going back to our dorm rooms - if only that apartment could come with us but we are definatly feeling refreshed and ready for the next part of our adventure.........bring on New Zealand!
