Ni Hao! Thought I'd say a quick hello as we have an afternoon off the tour and are doing research into flights etc. It's going better than we could have predicted so far. We got here really early on Wednesday and figured sleeping wasn't the best idea, so went to the Temple of Heaven, which was amaaazzziiinggg, and then met our group for dinner. There are 12 of us altogether, plus our lovely guide, Snow, who is really knowledgable, if not a little crazy. Had a nice lie in yesterday, before going to a food market, and then the Summer Palace in the afternoon. It was beautiful, but the weather wasn't so hot, which was a shame. In the evening we went to see an acrobatic show which was....interesting. the thing these guys do. wrong, just wrong. then we went for a quiet drink, which turned into a few drinks, and then into a big night out clubbing in Beijing. Was wicked! i'll post some interesting photos when i work out how to use these annoyng chinese computers. oh, and by the way, for your info, one (strong) rum and coke = 10 rmb = 80p. nice. oh, and we had a feast - and i mean a FEAST a coupl of nights ago for approx 1.80 pounds. We've still managed to spend over 50 squid each so far though. hmmmm. ok lovelies, time to do some more research. ughhhh... xxxx p.s. treck on the great wall of china tomorrow. yay! p.p.s i have a lovely big rash all over my legs. obviously!
