Breezy morning: started with a (long) Skype back home to my family, then went out for a traditional French breakfast. Quiossant, juice and a coffee. This was done en route to Notre Dame :) I was in awe and fascinated by this magnificent historic building. Ever since seeing the movie the hunchback of Notre Dame, I've wanted to visit this place - it didn't let me down.
The next stage of this freezing cold day was spent on the upper level of an open tour bus. Freezing. But definitely a great view of Paris and way to hear about the history and landmarks of the city. I got off at the Arc de Triomphe and climbed the 400ish stairs to the top and see a beautiful view of all of Paris! I saw Sacre Couer, which seeing as I couldn't make it out there, was good enough for now.
I got back on the bus to go to the Eiffel Tower. Headed up the top, and again there was a beautiful view. There was lots of wind on the third floor! Certainly deserved a hot chocolate after to warm up from the freezing cold. As it was getting dark I got the bus back to Notre Dame, did some souvenir shopping and got dinner. This wasn't as impressive as the previous night but the dessert was filling and chocolatey goodness :)
