I have found a breezeway here at hotel and hoping for success . Pictures re not transferring for some reason. I will figure out soon. My first flt on private jet to Guatemala of course was awesome.. British airline and staff. Cabot is named Simon but not the Simon c Yesterday upon arrival visited city of Flores which is a small Spanish town bldg to bldg and surrounded by a lake. Today I visited the ruins of Tikal which were erected over 2000 yrs go by the Mayans after an early am birding where I saw 17 different birds and listened to the howling monkeys in all their glory . Saw a tarantula, monkeys, toucan and many new to me species of wildlife. I got to visit a middle school on way back to hotel and enjoyed a native dance by some of the lovely students. I am not sure which group felt more funny about the visit. The girls wore white satin long full dances with unique appliqués on each one. Each of them were very beautiful. They loved seeing their pictures on iPad as all is very primitive in that regard here. The group is majority of married couples over age 60. However there are many singles and family groups . I am enjoying meeting them as we participate in various activities. R Siegel. All things considered is ESP fun to listen to as he "interviews" the well informed guides. Hoping some of info will be on future shows. Very hot and humid here but a swimming pool has helped me to cool each day. I have a swimming buddy who brought her 38 yo dtr. Adele is her name and her dtr only child is Eleda-Adele spelled backwards. She is a hoot . Eleda is a physician so tells me like not to eat the lettuce, etc. services are fantastic and it is sooooo nice to be taken care of and spend ll time seeing fantastic sights. 12 people did not come on trip due to cancellation of Mach Pichu. I have a rain check. Anyone want to go?
