BLOG 1
We have arrived in Nepal for the second time, after 24 hours and 15 minutes travel. It all came quickly back to us - the traffic, noise, smell, fumes, dust. Our brains had wiped out just how drea…
Nick Ponsford Stephen - you paint such wonderful word pictures that I feel I'm there alongside you ! But fortunately for me I've got ready access to hot water baths & showers ..... Please keep going with your descriptions of people, events, customs and the rest - they provide an insight of Nepal that I never thought I'd have. And I'm still laughing at the idea of the man inside the cash machine !
re: General NattersJudy Ponsford OK, it was a hard day, but a nepali loo ( hole in the ground) for Kathie, with just one useful arm..... very hard ! Glad to see the plaster doesn't look recycled and the sling looks reasonably modern, probably recycled though ! I do hope it's comfortable, Kathie, such bad luck. Plaster off in 6 weeks over here, so you'll probably just be back home by then. Keep blogging, we are enjoying reading it very much.
re: Roads?James Sorry to hear about Kaths accident. Send her our love. Hope it does not hinder your plans too much. Take it easy out there.
re: Happy HolidaysIrene and Roger Poor Kath! Hope the plastered arm doesn't hinder your enjoyment of this adventure. Love reading your blog and look forward to hearing more about the trip when you get back home. xx
re: Happy Holidaysdoug and Sue Hope your arm is comfortable Kathie. An Australian fireman/paramedic helped us in Beijing last year. They would seem to be the perfect travelling companion!
