Bye bye Brisbane! 1 year in the making and off we go to the USA. Woke up at 2.30am so decided to try to stay up as that made it 8.30am Tuesday in LA. Managed to stay up until about 11pm (LA time) and then took a sleeping pill and got about 4 hours on the plane...not too bad but needed a few hours horizontal when we got to Micheles.
First impressions LA - organised but low buildings and very flat. Santa Monica very pretty and Micheles place only about a mile from the beach which takes in some pretty impressive mountain views to the north. It's pretty easy to find your way as the streets are all numbered (Michele is on 14th St for example). Walked to 3rd St to get a local sim card and a weak sun made for very brisk weather with a top of only 16 brrrr! Off touring Hollywood tomorrow and shopping Friday at outlets.
