This is the Jewish Holocaust Memorial (there are other memorials in the process for the Gypsies, homosexuals and other victims of the holocaust in berlin) but in the background is the TV Tower. It is the highest point in Germany. It was built in East Berlin in the mid-80s. The Soviets were sneaking in Swedes to finish building it bc they were having trouble finishing it on their own and they knew their collapse was coming...however the ironic part happened whenever the tower was finished being built. Whenever the sun hit the tower the reflection created something the West Berliners, who could see it perfect, found hyterical. The reflection formed a cross...they call it the Popes Revenge.
