Right then, its been a while since i updated this, mainly because i forgot my login.
So, we spent 3 days travelling up the coast of PEru to get to Ecudor, we took some long buses overnight, we stopped in Piura for the day and met two guys who were ace, they helped us out at the bus station and then took us to a veggie resturant for lunch and then Andree invited us to meet their mother, and e spent they day at their house, playing cards, using the internet, had a shower and were fed....I had my first Peruvian meat feast pizza and a drink of stawberry yogurt they love it here.....we went over the boarder to Guiaquil, didnt like it much and so jumped onto another bus for Quito....which is an awesome city, a good mixture of old and new, the spanish is a lot slower and so easier to understand. We met some awesome people in the Hostal and have been travelling with one girl Kath since last week, we are now in a lovely town of Otovalo, had the most amazing market on Saturday, got some cliched tourist stuff, a bag and a beaded neclace....so so cheap and bartering is fun, one lady wanted to charge me $25 for a jumper and when I looked at her stupid she said $8...they really like to make the most of the tourists and why not.....I guess we are rich compared to them. One guys decsribed lizzie and I as Princesses since we were travelling for fun and not aducation or work.
We have finally camped in a beautiful hostal called La Luna, it is 5km above Otovalo, at 3000m altitude, we we had an amazing view of Cotocachi volcano, we also walked up to Laguna de Mojanda at 3700m trying to aclimatise o do some higher stuff, we only intended on staying here for one night ands that was last wednesday.
We are planning on heading to Cotocachi village to stay with a family and then walk around a crater lake with two islands in it. We are then heading abck to Quito, then Mindo to do some zip lining and then BAnos for the jungle.
The stranges things we have encountered...the bin men play jolly music as the pick up the rubbish, we have had sugar cane from the street, and then I had sugar cane liquor that is warm and `potent....cars bib thei horns indescriminately at pther drivers and passers by.
Right we´re off, update coming soon
