Greetings from Coogee Bay!

I've already been here a week and Oz intro is now officially over but am only just getting around to writing this. My flight to Sydney left Heathrow on 2nd Jan 2009 and 9:30pm. The flight was lonnnnnggggg and sleeping was impossible but no major complaints apart from my telly not working on the leg to hong kong! We arrived in Sydney at about 7am on the 4th (Oz time) and went straight to Surfside. My first impression of Coogee... SPAIN! Basically spent our first day trying to stay awake and finding our bearings. Ohhh and were well excited about a shark sighting.

Monday 5th was the first day of Oz intro. The lovely Dan took us to the Botanical gardens and the harbour where TEAM LUNGE was born. Did the usual touristy thing taking loads of photos and then got soaked jet boating around the harbour. Went to CBH that night for a few drinks then a stroll down the beach. Ohhh and there was another shark sightign that day.

Tuesday we sorted a few things in the office then went to Darling Harbour via the ferry. The views from the ferry were stunning. Had lunch at the harbour then went to the aquarium. Had a few drinks on the green infront of surfside with all 4 groups that night.

Wednesday.... SURFS UP!! Went to Boat Harbour with the sexy surfer dudes (and the fat pervy one) and Yoko the dog and had an awesome day. Most of us managed to catch a few waves and I even managed to get myself a sexy scrape on my knee. Lovedddd it and defiantly wanna do surf schol in Byron Bay now!

Thursday we did the Bondi - Coogee coastal walk stopping along the way for a bbq. The walk was lovely (apart from the bit through the cemetary!) and when we sat down for some food and a few bottles of blonde it finally hit me that I'm here and Danni and I got a bit emotional. We played volley ball on the beach before heading back for a talk about work. I met Bridget that night and it was really nice to see her. Had a few drinks in CBH with her friends and met a raving amaerican guy who wouldn't seem to leave. At 4am some w#nkers down the hallway decided to crank the music up and run down the halls naked screaming YOU WHAT YOU WHAT! Can't say we were impressed, especially seeing as one decided to grip my bum.

Friday the lovely Scooter (bong and a waffle) from Oz Experience took us up the Blue Mountains for a trek. THe mountains were absolutley beautiful and every turn there was another person saying wowwwwww. We decided it would be a laugh to war paint our faces and took a million photos. After the steepest cable cart in the world that lasted all of 20 seconds we headed back. That night we planned on a few quiet schooners and ended up having a massive lash up in CBH to a live band. Very unexpected but brilliant night.

Saturday I went to Bondi Junction with the girls and did a lot of clothes shopping (essentials obviously) and came back to make t-shirts for the bar crawl. Tried to get an extra tight top for the lovely day and all the boys just had naff big tshirts haha. Popped into Ozintro and booked a few nights in the city, a flight to melbourne, one to tassie and oz experinece for tassie with Danni and Laura. Kinda relieved now I have a plan!! The bar crawl was in a word... FANTASTIC. All 4 groups and their leaders started at the Palace where SEx on Fire/ Use somebody were played and we all got a bit emotional. Headed off on the party bus (I'm sure that level of partying in the aisles is illegal!!) and hit a few other places. Ended on the gaff (that place really is FILTHY!). Got back to Surfside about 3am and ended up sleeping in room 5.

Sunday morning woke up in the rong bed and opened a bottle of bud to fight off the imminent hangover. Spent all day on coogee beach lying in the sun and had a nice lazy day. That evening we all got dolled up and went to Sydney revolving tower for a meal. Mum you'll be so proud... I tried a load of random new things which I enjoyed and have actually been putting a bit of salad in my sarnies. The view from the tower was great at night and on the bus ride home we took a detour back to the place in all started... WE had a load of lunge photos infront of the bridge and everyone went quiet and got a bit sad to think that oz intro is over :(

So now it's monday 11th and I'm moving out of room 4 and into 11 for 2 days before heading to the city. In limbo atm because I have to start doing things for myself. And I'm reallllyyyyy jealous of the new ozintro group starting today. Think I'm gonna start getting homesick soon because the holiday period is near enough over. Ohhh and I've met a load of welsh out here! We all seem to be picking up eachothers accents.
