Happy New Year 2009! Well, what can I say?! It was 14 weeks yesterday since 24 September 08 that I left good ol' Blighty for pastures new and in search of adventure, excitement and the like! I cannot believe that it has been that long, and also I cannot believe that despite my assurances to all that I would be updating this blog I set up before I left, I haven't been true to my word! When it came down to it, I guess a few things have prevented me - I thought to myself that I would find it difficult writing about me/my thoughts and feelings etc (and who would want to read about it?!) even though those that know me, know I have no trouble talking (!), and of course that I have a tendency to be a little lazy and it felt like 'homework'! In hindsight though a blog would have been more efficient and simpler than sending out sporadic emails to you all (sorry again for being tardy!) repeating similar things - and as can be heard all-over Asia - "same, same, but different"!
Well, as they say, a 'New Year is a New Start', and although I have never really made any New Year's resolutions in the past (read: never have stuck to any resolutions, lol!) I am making one now to update this blog regularly, and will even put in some retrospective updates! So apologies if the content is not up to scratch, but in an attempt to keep my resolution I will persevere... I hope that like a fine wine my writing will improve over time, and you will know that I am still alive (somewhere on this earth!) and haven't fallen off the planet.
