We were supposed to get a 2 day slow boat to Luang Prabang, however, we opted for a minibus to get there in 1 day instead. It was incredibly bumpy, and one VERY long windy road going around mountain after mountain, stunning scenery though.

We only stayed one night as we are a bit short for time with getting through as many places as possible while Sarah is holidaying with us. But what we saw of this place was lovely, so chilled out and slow pace of life, really relaxing. We visited the national museum- which was shut! haha. But home t the Floating Buddha. We also climbed over 200 steps to see a Wat (temple) at the top of a big hill and back down again. up the hill there were statues of shiny gold buddhas. This definitely seemed like a beautiful and relaxing place to stay.
