Hmm...looking at the message I typed this morning I think the sea breezes we'd drunk to calm our nerves had kicked in. The strip show was a classy one - promise! They had a TV programme over here like Pop Idol only for strippers, so it was like the Will Young and Shayne Ward of the strip world! No Michelle Mcmanuses! They were seriously fit! Anyway...we've spent this morning lazing by the pool, the weather's beautiful, but I started to overheat so I thought I'd come back up to our room to see if I could update my journal a bit.

Nat - let me know what date Nik and Dip are getting married, I want to send them a card.

Mum - well done on the ECDL! Hope you get a certificate you can hang in your occife!

Sorry I've been a bit rubbish at keeping in touch, we were driving through Death Valley for the last few days and internet access was impossible to find! Death Valley is amazing,,,the temperature hit 96 degrees at one point - quite hot.

Talking of hot, we're now in Vegas (baby!) It's amazing!! I really like it so much more than I expected to. We're staying in a 4 star hotel to make up for a couple of sh*tholes we've stayed in and it's fab. So back to the hotness - tonight we went to a strip show!! They were actually the fittest men I have ever seen (or had writhe against me...sorry Mum!) I have to say I felt very British the whole time. But not British enough to avoid snapping up their 2007 calendar at the end of the show! So anyway, tomorrow night we're going to see a Cirque du Soleil show which will be much more civilised. Vegas has definitely been the most expensive part of the trip so far, so tomorrow we're going to avoid spending money by lying out by the pool and catching some rays! Need to get rid of the whiteness somehow!!

Oh dear Nat...sounds like it was an 'interesting' weekend! Mine wasn't much better and I have today off work to recover! I was drunk on Saturday and yesterday and more boozing prospects tonight as it's my mum's actual birthday today! Not good!

Katie - I hope you're well babe. I haven't had a chance to look at any entries, but will do so today. I miss you loads, and it's weird when I remember you're not in the country!

Kate what your Mum graciously fails to mention is that I got completely bladdered and can't remember the night at all. I am mortified and am filling in a holiday form for this afternoon as cannot bend down without thinking I am going to be sick. I have also got a really bad back although you would not have known it given that last night I was one of the kids from Fame.

Just a quick note will E mail later. Having a day off following Les's fiftieth (everybody asking after you). Too, too much to drink and a very long day which was really fab. Missed you to give me advice on what to wear. Nat looked very elegant and sophisticated and you would have loved Isobel's outfit she was as good as gold.
Nat and I compared notes on how much we are missing you and we agreed that you are very central to our plot so we miss you loads. Stay safe, don't relax too much,but whatever you do have fun!! Loads of love, Mum.

It's lovely to hear all your news babe, but I can't believe you had a snake draped around you. I didn't know if I was scared of them until we saw a massive (and I mean massive) python in a zoo in Barbados and it freaked me out!

Buster sounds...interesting! I'm pleased to see you're still attracting weirdos even on the other side of the Atlantic!

I had a good weekend with Vee - we found our bridesmaid dresses and they're lovely. She's decided on chocolate brown for us, so should be really nice.

It's mum's 60th on Monday (Nat - she'll be depressed if I tell her your mum is only 50!) and we're going up to London for a cocktail party on Saturday so am really looking forward to that.

Ben is away in Minneapolis for work at the moment...in a huge casino in the middle of nowhere...ummmmmm! He's back on Thursday so am looking forward to seeing him.

I still want to see the pic of the sailor so send it through! Take care of yourself babe and make sure Buster isn't trailing you!

Not much to report Czyrk - have been to the caravan this weekend and had a few Magners in the club house, yes very Butlins I know but don't judge until you have kids!

Mum's fiftieth this weekend so consumed with making sure she feels loved this week.

Need new clothes so have to stay on at work. The crash diet begins in readiness for Florida now, one smoothie, a banana and some cereal so far today. Will try not to get chips on the way home.

Miss you and can't wait to see you in Florida by which time I will be a size 8!
