And so the big day dawns, but as some of you may well be aware things have not gone according to plan this week. In fact, extremely far from it.
It is 26hours and 15minutes (well it was when I started writing this blog!) until the Thai Airways flight departs from Heathrow Airport towards the beauty of Thailand but it will not have me on board. I shall instead be at home under a duvet trying to get rid of the horrid flu bug I came down with on Monday night. There were hopes that it would be just a 24hour cold/bug but as I started to deteriorate over the days it soon became clear that that wasn't going to happen. So rather than being extremely excited and rushing around worrying that I haven't got everything, a letter has been written by my Dr declaring that I am very definately unfit to travel and I have been told to take it easy for a couple of weeks. At the moment that it not hard as I can't walk in a straight line and amongst other things my head feels like it's going to explode (and before any of you bright sparks ask, all I have been drinking since Monday is water water and yet more water!!)
And so the state of play at the moment is a litle bit complicated. We have had to cancel everything that was originally booked. Although it would have been ideal to do a simple date transfer that option really went out of the window due to having no idea when I will be fit to travel. However, you can be assured that as soon as I start to get better everything will be rebooked (although Thailand might now be done on the way home rather than before hand) and I will be on a plane ASAP. Until then, all I can say is watch this space!!
