We made the most of our last day in Paris, as Kirsten and I parted ways to make sure we could accomplish all of our goals. I headed to mass at the Sacre Coeur which was followed by crepes and metro ride to the Champs Elysee with Lonne and the rest of the crew. We strolled around a few hours and headed to the Latin Quarter in search of my favorite chocolate shop and some much needed shopping......$30 later at Zara and an hour walk (the map is really misleading) I found myself with Lonne in a ferris wheel near the Louvre.....if you are ever in Paris, the ferris wheel is the best $6 you will ever spend as views are breathtaking and almost better than the Eiffel Tower......After our little ride, I headed to a few museums and finally home on the metro, which by the way is one of my favorite rides....i think I could ride the metro all day and never get bored.....
At the hotel we prepared ourselves with a bottle of wine for what was going to be our last night all together......tears. We headed with everyone to Montmartre where we could take some photos (some of which would result in my skirt flying up only to reveal my teal colored underwear....YIKES) and head to an authentic french meal at Chez Eugene near the Sacre Coeur. The meal was delicious as we had french onion soup, crepes, creme brulee, wine, and the best cappaccino I have ever had. $22 each later and we all headed to O'Sullivans, an Irish pub open till 5 am right next too the Moulin Rouge. It was here that I managed to use my french in an attempt to avoid greasy french men desperate for some action.....Je suis MARRIER.......was the only line that worked, trust me, I tried many others.....grrr.
My favorite couple bought me booze as they felt bad about my corkscrew they broke in Rome (I really didnt care) but nonetheless it was nice to have a few drinks in me to better enjoy the evening....I danced with all my favorite people and shouted out the lyrics to "peaches" (a song I haven't heard in ages) and managed to translate english to french and vice versa for a couple who was looking to hook up.....
As the night wore on, dancing became crazier, couples started disappearing and the next thing I knew Lonne was tearing off some guys shirt on the dance floor....I never knew buttons could fly so far. I also didnt know that Lonne could drag me so fast into the bathroom for a little "goodbye kiss"........amazing what alcohol and fatigue can do to a group of Contiki kids.....oh my. Seeing as it was 5 am and we had to be ready at 8:15, we left the club a legacy and headed home to pack and stay awake until our departure the next day......tears. I cant believe it is over......
