K+K Travel Adventures
Well, apparently I somehow cannot manage to stay in one place too long. Kirsten and I returned from Europe only a few days ago and already we have been to San Diego and back. We thought about momentarily crossing over into Mexico to party in Tijuana but decided against it as both our parents would have heart attacks.
We arrived in Coronado to visit my friend Sarah (former travel partner) only to have our hopes of partying crushed by exhaustion. After chatting for a few hours we retired to a comfortable bed.
The next morning, still in our pj's Sarah, her sister, and Kirsten and I enjoyed cereal that tasted like cardboard and re-runs of Monk. Alas, the pj's came off quickly as we headed to beach in search of sun and sand.
After making a stop at the military exhange in Coronada (and checking few of those uniformed soldiers out) we headed to the beach.
It was beautiful, the water warm and tide high. Kirsten and I were very much enjoying our freedom and relaxation. But unfortunately, good things come to an end and we needed to battle traffic home and arrive on time for our grandfather's birthday.
The visit all in all was great. Catching up with Sarah and her boyfriend was really enjoyable and just reminded me that in another month school would be starting...I am not sure how I feel about that one yet.....grrrr.
Tomorrow I head home to Seattle, which will hopefully be a welcome home.
