First day on South Island. This is the place to be for dolphin and whale watching. Have seen a seal conely on the beach as well.

Arrived in the Capital today. Is very nice, we went to a free museum called "Te Papa" lots of different exibits old and new and about the the Maori culture ( we are coming back here on our way back as want to see more if it and the city as only a quick stop ready for the ferry tommorrow)..

We travelled from Lake Taupo today to here (MT Doom) very very nice area is a ski area in winter but the mountain is snow capped at the mo so we got a chair lift to near the top and played in the snow. then camped. We both want to come back here for a ski season, its beautiful.

Hi all in Lake Taupo now. Really nice town where you can over look the lake a mountain range in the background (well MT DOOM to lord of the rings fans).
