oh what a day we had!!!from the hostel we were picked up by a 4*4 jeep driven by a very qute n handsome malaysian guy, Marvin. i sat next to him /obviously:) /n we chatted, joked all the way:) joined by his father n another jeep we headed to the joungle to see the bigges tand smelliest flower, the Rafflesia. the way up there was through a very muddy, slippery road , it was soo cool. Marvin was a great driver but the jeep front of us got stuck so we had to stop. all the drivers were trying to dig the jeep out by making a new way for the. then we had an hour junggle track to see the flower. we all got so muddy but it was all worth it cos it was beautiful. we passed a waterfall where we couldnt swim but it rained the day before so the water was really muddy too.
we went to a village with original malay people living in, 2 guy and our driver, marvin were demonstrating how to use the blowing pipe to silently kill animals. we tried it too n it wasnt hard at all altho im not sure i could catch my dinner with it. they use poisen of frogskin to kill the animals in a few seconds. the poisen is so strong it would kill human in a few second and a large animal in a few minutes. ppl in the village aet monkey n we saw one in a cage n i really felt for him, really wanted to free him:( walking up the village we met some original malay ppl and the children were so qute:)
for lunch Marvin took us to an indian restaurant, then continued our trip to a tea plantation where we saw how the process of making tea happening. i can tell u a fact we learned there!!: the tea bag what u drink day after day isnt made out of proper tes, is just tea dust and countains ONLY 3 % of tea!!! so forget abt tea bags and drink the proper tea leafs. tried some really tastety tea there.
we also visited a butterfly and reptiles and a strawberry farm. both were great fun.
excellent day!!!!
i really enjoyed my stay in the Highlands, had a really great time.
